Team
The people building it.
esoteriq is a small, interdisciplinary team of engineers, mathematicians, and problem-solvers who believe the magic is in the simplicity. Here's who's building it.

Carlos Andrés Rodriguez
Founder & CEO
Carlos started esoteriq to find where quantum computing becomes commercially real. A software and data engineer with over a decade of experience, he spent recent years as a full-stack engineer at the sports-tech company GMTM, building everything from custom neural networks and data pipelines to Stripe payment systems and the front end, always with a heavy emphasis on usability. Six months ago he became obsessed with quantum computing, and he now leads esoteriq's direction and partnerships, working closely with the team to keep it grounded in the mathematics.
“I became obsessed with quantum computing six months ago, and I've never felt more ready to lead a team toward something this nebulous and this worth doing.”
- GMTM · Senior Software Engineer, sports tech (since 2021)
- Accenture · Senior Quality Analyst (2019 to 2021)
- CodeScience · QE & Automation Consultant, Salesforce (2017 to 2019)
- BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee · Software Engineer (2015 to 2017)

Kadeem Baldwin
Founding Engineer
Kadeem builds the mathematical proofing at the core of Rune, the part that keeps our claims honest. A Systems Development Engineer on Google Cloud's AI/ML products (Vertex AI, Dialogflow, and the machine-learning APIs), he has spent most of a decade shipping and supporting machine-learning systems at Google and Amazon. When he isn't engineering, he's self-studying pure mathematics, machine learning, and the state of modern computing. He joined esoteriq to keep the work grounded in the math.
“My goal is to use my love of engineering and problem-solving to make the world a more accessible and sustainable place.”
- Google · Systems Development Engineer, AI/ML (since 2019)
- Amazon · IT and operations (2015 to 2019)
Advisors

Alex Rudloff
Product & Strategy Advisor
Alex is a mentor and close friend of Carlos, and a product and strategy advisor to esoteriq. He was CTO of Carlos's previous company, with earlier leadership at AOL as VP of Product and General Manager, and time at TED. These days he works in applied AI, shipping agents, computer vision, and LLMs in production. His deal is simple: get on the field and play, and he'll coach.
